Jr. Livestock Sale
Join us for the Weld County Junior Livestock Sale on July 28, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Event Center at Island Grove Park in Greeley, Colorado.
Would you like to support a sale qualifier, but don't want to buy the entire animal? The add-on program allows you to do just that. Using the Add-On Sheet (coming soon), all you need to do is identify the exhibitor(s) you want to help and place an "Add-On" of any amount. o their total. Note: Only Sale Qualifiers are eligible for Add-Ons.
The Weld County Junior Livestock Sale is an annual event held at the culmination of the Weld County Fair. The top 245 animals nominated for the sale are eligible for the sale, including all Grand and Reserve Grand Champions in each of the seven species. Buyers may bid on animals outright or support several members by giving an "add-on", which is money added onto the sale of any animal. Buyers also have the option of donating the meat from the animal to the Weld County Food Bank. The 2025 sale order will include the following species: Swine, Turkeys (Dependent on HPAI), Goats, Rabbits and Lambs, Chickens (Dependent on HPAI), Beef
Due to the state issued quarantine in Weld County for all poultry and poultry products, the Chickens and Turkeys will be shown as lots. This means each exhibitor that entered in these projects, that would be eligible for sale, will enter the ring together and the monies will be split equally as a premium.

In 2024 the Weld County Junior Livestock Sale raised a record breaking $1,841,068.00 including all add-ons for the Weld County 4-H and FFA youth who participated in the program. Goats - $2.30 / lb.
Lambs - $1.80 / lb.
Beef - $1.86 / lb.
Swine - $0.45 / lb.
Rabbits - $15.00 / per pen
Chickens - $15.00 / per pen
Turkeys - $15.00 / per head
